i recently posted a thread about swapping a chevy small block in my 96 stang i have been convinced that a 5.0 will be better actually a 351 i was wondering if i could get information on that swap swapping the k member and such from a mod motor mustang to a push rod motor i know this is possible but was wondering what all went in to it i will be running a carb

As far as the K member goes, I'd imagine that you could swap a K member from a 94-95 into your 96. It should fit becauseyear group 94-95 were 5.0 liter stangs. As far as the other stuff goes I don't have a clue. I also believe that the 351 and 302 were basically the same block on the outside soa 351 should fit where ever a 302 fits.

You can use a 94-95 K-member,or a fox body K-member will fit with a few modifications. You will be alot better off with a stroked 351. 393,or 408 will get you where you want to be.
