My personal opinion if it is a street car that see's the highway on a regular basis, bump it up to 3.73s and call it a day. If for no other reason, gas mileage. Yes 4.10s will obviously pull harder through the gears and accellerate faster, BUT once you drive a lot of miles on the highway and see how terrible your gas mileage is with the 4.10s you might regret it.

well, if you are keeping the rest of the car the same and go with lower gears you are losing top speed and gaining acceleration. No one is disputing this. this is all im saying. when i look at my cars gearing and what it runs in 4th at redline the mustang stock should run a 160 mph top speed. thats with no top speed limiter of course.
