Default My Baby's Bleeding

Hey all,
woke up yesterday to a wonderful puddle of tranny fluid ( approx 1/4- 1/2 a quart ) havent had a chance to get under it yet to see where its comming from. im thinking its just a pan gasket. odd thing, this morning there was only about a tablespoon full. i parked a little differently to see. anyway, i will not be able to have it looked at it till thursday, and im wondering if anyone has had this issue with thier auto, shes got 95k on her, and what kind of fluid i should get to keep her full until thurs.

unless im wrong about my gasket guess, whilest shes in the tranny shop im going to have a new torque converter and a tranny cooler put on. suggestions on brands and stall would be great. im putting my 4:10s on this spring and i dont know if that will make a diff with the converter stall.

Many Thanks!

I didnt see this. What was the problem? A rear seal or the oil pan? I would say the real seal.

Thank You JD!!

was unable to get her in last week. she has an appt for tomorrow.

im going to have them go over it with a "fine tooth comb" replace all the seals and gaskets etc etc. after reading through some stangnet threads im thinking the rear seal as well. but gonna replace them all anyway.

any other tranny maint suggestions you have while shes there?

Well if you're gonna have it torn out then you may as well go ahead and have the torque converter bebuilt or replaced. 95K is a lot of miles. Other than that... do what you said and have them go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Yeah... I would do a shift kit and all if I were you... but I know jack about auto's. The little I do know comes from my F150 that I had to rebuild twice. [:@] Ill never own another light duty Ford pick up. F250HD or better for me.

I didnt rebuild it. I considered it a piece of crap. I did a lot of off raoding and the truck wasnt built for what I was doing. I pulled a lot of people out of holes and so on. Thats why it was busted twice.
