Are FRPP gears worth the extra money over motive gears? motive-150 FRPP-240.....worth it? whats the difference?

Also, I have 51K miles on my 02 should i get the shims bearings and gasket set also for the extra 75?????

Either brand of gear will be fine as long as they are installed properly

Motive makes Fords gears sets! You will need the installation kit that includes shims and bearings! It's almost impossible to get the pinion bearing off the stock pinion without damaging it! Anyways, your gonna have to take all the bearings in there out anyways, so your better off putting in new ones.

Make sure you change your axle bearings and seal while your at it! You'll have to drain fluid, pull cover and go through the axle removal if one leaks in the future! I wouldn't however worry about the clutch discs in the diff. leave the carrier alone! That spring can be really dangerous.
