Default O2 SENSOR CODE P0156

CEL is still on after MIL eliminators and i even tried the homemade eliminators after that.It saysthat it is the#2 position in bank 2. From what i understand is that this is the one that measures the air/fuel ratio. Is that throwing off everything if that code stays on? Does anybody else have any more info on this code?
Ive been dealing with this for about a year now. Its getting old.

Position 2 bank 2 is a rear oxygen sensor, all it does is make sure the cat is working properly. The rear oxygen sensors have no affect on the air fuel and how the car will respond and run, its strickley to check if the cat is working, most people have the rear o2 sensors turned off with a handheld, so dont worry it wont affect how you car runs.

Bank 2 is the side of the car the #1 cylinder is NOT on. Sensor 2 is rear.

The A/F ratiois controlled by the front two which is why you never want to put MIL's on the front 02 sensors.

obviously something is wrong in the wiring of your homemade mil on the driver side rear o2. take it off and inspect your wiring.

Some times MILs simply dont work, try unplugging ur battery for a few minutes to reset the PCM, and maybe it wont come back on

MIL eliminators (as opposed to O2 semsorsimulators) just condition the otherwise normal signal from the rear O2 sensors so as to trick the PCM into thinking the catalytic converters are in place and working--I.e. they require that the rear sensors be present and working. If the sensor is bad then there is no "normal" signal to condition and the PCM sees a bad rear sensor...Read more about how MIL eliminators work here... Could also be bad wiring of course...
