Default whats the deal with 2V vs 4V ?

A lot of cars that are thought about highly are 2V. Cars like Viper, Corvette and Firebird WS6 to name a few are all 2V motors. So why when it comes to mustangs 2V is such a bad thing to have ?

Smaller displacement to begin with 281 vs. 350. 2v is a restriction on the mod motors, put simply does not inhale and exhale as well as 4v

2V = old tech

The newer designs are usually better.

most of the cars you are compareing are 5.7L or more pushrod motors compared to our 4.6L over head cam motors.

its simple math here, no replacement for displacement.

Well the 07+ ZO6 uses 2v and that is consired technologically advanced car same thing withthe viper. Even with 2V "old tech" the cars still make 500hp and 600hp.

I don't care if it makes 10,000 hp. 4V OHC is newer tech than 2V OHV.

I could be wrong, but I believe thevalves themselves(in our 2v SOHCheads) are substantially smaller than that used in Chevy and Dodge, hencemaking them unable to flow as much air and fuel in or out.
