1) its a bullitt... there is no matching engine number.. SVT on otherhand do with a metal plate stamped into the block.
2) it should fit directly in, its the same engine except for intake manifold, fuel rails and a few other top end parts
3) good luck

There is little reason to do this. Its not a money making or even really collectors car at all... its a high production numbers GT with a couple of warmed over parts.

That is to say, in 20-30 years if you manage to keep it that long (prolly not being a DD now) nobody is going to care that its a bullitt or that the numbers do/do not match. Look at the cars going for big bucks nowadays... they are all super rare very low production models with special drivetrains etc. Unless you want to keep the car for 40 years so you can sell it at the same price it was new (adjusted for inflation) its not worth worrying about.

i think its a bullitt thing we no its not a collectores car but to know we have our own motors in it makes us feel special. lol if it were me i would sell the gt motor and use that money and go find a 03/04 cobra motor out there and swap that along with tranny and drivshaft.

I disagree...the Bullitt will have more value than a standard GT of the same year because it is a limited edition.

The engines should be a very simple swap considering they are the same thing

As far as the Bullitt name, it may not be an Eleanor, but ask yourself this: Would you rather have a (Stock) GT, or a Bullitt? They'll always be a little bit more valued than a GT.

I would take a stock bullitt over a stock GT, but I wouldn't pay much more for one becayse of it is a Bullitt.

I like the bullits and would rather have one then a stock GT, BUT it's got to have a rear spoiler or something. I cant stand the look of mustangs in the rear without spoilers, utterly nasty.
