Grease the Steering Rack?

My steering wheel/rack squeaks every time I turn the wheel. I figure I just need to lube up something, but where exactly?

Sounds like it could be a tie rod end, and if that's the case, no, you can't lube it, that's the entire problem. Ford put tie rod ends on these cars that couldn't be greased, so once they get older or get some dirt in them, you're screwed and have to replace them.

Alot of cars are like that and a tie rod isn't all that expensive, you could get it done at shop easily for under 100 bucks.

Please, don't bring your car to a shop for tie rod ends. It's about a 10 minute job in your garage. Easiest thing I ever did on my 97.

Hmmm.

I figured it was something thta just needed lube, because this was noticable after I got my car back from a LT header install.

Anyone know of any write ups? I may as well diagnose the problem with a buddy, and if it is true, I'll replace it.

Check to make sure the R&P bushings are tight. They may have loosend thebushing mounts to give a little more wiggle room for the LTs. Grease the tie rods and silicone lube the rack bushings. Should take care of it.
