yes roll race.. or any race for that matter do it with O/D off

Is it safe to turn O/D off while you're moving? What is the top speed of 3rd gear on an auto?

yes its safe.. its like downshifting.. what isnt safe is flooring it and putting heavy load on the tranny while it downshifts from O/D. with O/D off you will shift down to second and get in the powerband quick. top speed depends on your gearing.. realistically or hypothetically?

Put it this way O/D on =highway, O/D off =town. Say u want to do a 0-140mph run, just cut the O/D on and go for it. Just dont cut it on at WOT cause u will kill the trans eventually.
