vortech oiling pan tap question

a guy on ebay had a vortech V2SQ setup and he promoted his independent oiling setup sohe didn'thave to tap the oil pan. Is this possible? and how would you go about doing this? Thanks

RE: vortech oiling pan tap question

I am sure it is possible to have an external reservoir but I imagine it would be much less efficent, because the oil is too viscous when it is cool. At least thats what I would think.

Well, going off that line of thinking, wouldn't it be too viscous when it's cool in the oil pan as well?

Yes, and thats why your aren't suppose to beat on your car until it gets up to temp with or w/o a supercharger

The s/c is the Vortech is the S Trim. I am putting it together the same way that guy did in "Pipes, Boost and Juice." I am adding the MAF, 24 or 30 lb injectors and an upgraded fuel pump because the fuel management unit that Vortech recommends isn't quite as reliable as a full time pump. What about you, are you just buying the SQ?

do you have the link for that thread? im pretty much going the same route as you. Im piecing the kit together from superchargersonline.com because its alot cheaper that way. Im going with 42# injectors though apposed to your 24or30 thats mainly the only difference in our setup.
