um... is this something I MYSELF should be worried about? I have a bbk cold air and I dont like how its just chilling around my fender. Did you go through a huge puddle, or was this just a freak accident or what?
fender is most likely the safest place for a CAI. im betting he went through a huge puddle.. and im willing to bet his cai was just sticking where the filter is when u remove the silencer.

Nah you guys just don't understand JLT CAI's. There is a pipe that runs from the TB to the hole where the air silencer used to sit. Then there is a turn down and the MAF is relocated there, then after the MAF there isthe filter. So basically, you have the filter sitting directly behind the fog lights...

I think I'm gonna ship my CAI back to JLT for a RAI...

If you didn't run through a puddle then I dought it hydrolocked. It would have to suck a lot of water up to hydrolock the engine. If it was just the rain drops hitting the filter then I dought it was pulling any more water in than a meth kit adds. You could have hit a puddle of some sort though and just don't know it. A guy I know with a vette just installed a new engine due to sucking up water and breaking a rod. I can tell you it's not a valve problem though, either a bad maf due to water or a bent rod if it did hydrolock.
