Ok, so I'm ordering a new clutch from summit. They have the 2 Ford racing clutches.....which is better? The specs are the same, but the King Cobra costs 40 bucks more[&:]

the king cobra- i just replaced mine. I ordered from clutchcityonline i think and they gave me a good price. The cobra is AWESOME-i love it

Do you know why it's better? I just don't see any difference in the specs, but yet it's 40 bucks more than the other.

im pretty sure that its designed for higher HP uses, its more a performance clutch. I know that it can hold more ft/lbs than the stock-and you are right its only 40bucks more so just buy the damn thing and when you drive your car you WILL feel the diff

i went with spec, it grabs REALLY hard, just whatever you go with just break it in for 500 miles

I wouldnt go with a ford racing clutch. Thats what I have now and after 20,000 miles it got really weak. I think it needs replacing.

hows that possible MD?? never hear of 500HP stangs with stock clutches... is that the original stock clutch? IF SO... WEIRD i never knew they can take that kinda abuse with that much HP

Devin. I would recommend King Cobra, i have it i installed it. Its easy, its nice, it grabs. Also i got mine from Mustangtuning.com free shipping!! Awesome deals too. Make sure you buy a clutch alignment tool and have youre flywheel resurfaced. Other than that, have fun and especially with the starter bolts. lol
