Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the mustangs. I just got mine in january and its been great, but recently it has developed a really really really annoying squeak when turning. Its a 2001 GT 5 speed with just over 33,000 on it. I wouldn't think the joints are bad? And it doesn't seem the belt is bad. Any ideas on what could be wrong with it? Its mostly on the drivers side and does it about anytime that I turn my wheel. Thanks for any help. Austin.

What kind of squeek is it...

Is it a small squeek, is it a whine....does it happen on bumps or anything...

Give us details and we can give you ideas...

Mine does the same thing... Only at low speeds and when the car is still cold... Doesn't happen on bumps or anything.

Tie rod ends. mine had the same issue.

Yup, most likely tie rod ends, only thing is i find it kinda hard for them to go at 30k but stuff happens.....

mines did the same thing... i raced a friend a few times today and then returned to a tire shop to let them out air back in my drag radials.. i let them know about the noise and they took a grease gun with a needle fitting and poked a small hole in the boot and greased it up... GUESS WHAT... no more AGGREVATING loud squeeky noise... it was embarrasing.. women would look at me and say damn whats that noise, thats not aggrevating... LOL anyways its worth a try, throw some grease in that thing and turn the wheen a few times it should quiet up
