315 on 9 inch rim = bad idea...there was another thread just like this a month or so ago and there was a pic and wow it looked bad

but still...315 on a 9 is no good...it will bulge some and you will not have as much rubber on the ground...i would do like 275 or 285

I don't think it would be nearly as bad as the one in that pic, several have suggested to me that 315 Nittos will work on a 9 inch wide wheel, because they are made slightly slimmer than other brands.
With that said, I don't see how it would be practical.

Do it. The Nitto D/R is not as wide as most other sizes. I have them on my 17x9's and I think they look great.
The D/R is 12.13 in wide. Most other 315's are 12.4 or bigger. I'll take you a pic tomorrow.

I had a friend that put 315 nittos on his stock 03 cobra rims and they barely had any buldge. Nittos run narrow compared to other brands. You will be fine.

this topic seems to come up a million times in a day... BUT, i would LOVE to see a pic of some 315s on 9 inch wheels. pics should settle the "omg dont do it...no do it, not much bulge" dispute lol.
