I am trying to re-assest my A/C problem. What DOES a broken ac clutch look like? What does one that WORKS look like? My AC still works... maby I just need freeon or something? possible?

you'll know if its working by looking at the front of your a/c compressor. if you turn your a/c on and the three pronged front doesn't move then your a/c clutch isn't engaging.

What is your a/c doing? If it is cycling on snd off, then more than likely you just need freon. But like Adam said if that 3 prong peice isn't moving then the clutch is bad. If so let me know, I have a spare compressor that I could sell.

how much? I Mean my ac turns on and off, so clutch is not bad? or will it still wokr w/ a bad clutch

If your compressor keeps cycling on and off, usually it means you're low on refrigerant.

i had a bad ac clutch on my 04 gt and it would kick on and off but also make a lot of i guess u would say knocking sounds but luckly it was under warranty

does the ac turn off when you floor it?
does it turn off after you've had it on for a while?

it gets hot and starts to slip. you could also go to a shop and ask if they can put gauges on the ac sys to test if it's charged
