Default suspension fix questions

Alright so I am going to temporarily fix my suspension because I dont have the money to build the suspension I want now and I just bought new tires so I do not want to wear them out. While I am at, I figured some cheapy lowering springs too to remove the 4x4 option.

My plans, need new ball joints, but since I am getting a k member and tubular a arms, I was thinking about getting local parts store brand(MOOG).

New new tie rod ends, since I will be lowering it, get some bump steer tir rod end kits.

Off set steering rack bushing. To go along with the lowered high and bump steer rod ends.

And some cheop lowering or fox 4 cyl springs(IF anyone has some they are looking to get rid of on the cheap, let me know)

Anything else, oh, CC plates too, but anything else? That outta hold me off til I do my whole suspension right?

ball joints -$36.00(temp)
bumpsteer $150(steeda, permenant)
offset rack bushings $20.00(energy suspension)
springs $100.00? Temp
CC plates $200 permanant
alignment $50.00
totaaal $550.00 vs 3 grand on total suspension work, and the expensive parst are staying, the cheapos will be null and void

Just wait and do it all at once, trust me, ive learned that it makes things a whole lot easier if you do it right the first time.

I like that idea. You're talking about redoing a good part of your suspension, only to do it again when you upgrade. Why not just wait a bit longer and upgade it all at once? You'll see a significant increase in looks and performance and you'll be done with it the first go around.

But, if you don't want to do that, get the Bullitt suspension kit. It has shocks, springs, struts and sway bars with it. It will lower your car a bit, make it handle better and only costs around $500. That could hold you off for a while, but I would still recommend doing it all at once.

Default RE: suspension fix questions

The reason I am doing this now. Alignment guy said my ball joints and tie rod ends are shot. So he cant align it all that well. I am buying new tires and dont want to destroy them so I need new ball joints and tie rod ends anyways.

I am getting cheapo ball joints for the temp because tubular k member and a arm kit will replace that and I dont have the cash to do that anytime soon. Ball joints only cost 36 bux, whoopie, tie rod ends Ill need reguardless of what suspension I use, so I am going to go ahead and buy bump steer kit. Considering factory already has bumpsteer issues. Steering rack bushings are permanent to fix the drop angle as well, but even if they are not, theyre only 20 bux. Caster camber plates will be permanent, so I will not be replaceing those later. Springs will be temp but what I buy them for, I can sell them for, plus they are only like 100 bux as well.

So out of that 550 bux, only 130 is going to waste, aside the alignment. The CC plates, bump steer kit, steering rack bushings, those are all permanent. So I wont be redoing those? In fact everything is permanent except ball joints and springs, so I can sell the springs and I am only losing 36 bux to save some tires....

Do yall understand my logic?
