How to convert to Cobra brakes
Ok guys, on my 96 GT project car I have a set of front Cobra calipers, and hangers. While my stock master cylinder be able to handle these brakes?
What other parts will I need to make the conversion work flawlessly?

What year are the calipers from? Either way, it shouldn't matter. I'm pretty sure that the Bullitt and the Cobra calipers are the same and I have the Bullitts up front with no master cylinder upgrades. The only other things you'll need are the flexible cable to go to the caliper and some rotors and pads. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on anything here, but I'm pretty sure that's all you need.

If the GT's stock brakes are still there, you won't need anything except rotors and pads. GT pads will not fit the cobra calipers and the GT rotor is considerably smaller than the cobra one.
Stock GTbrake line, banjo bolt, caliper mounting bolts, etc etc will all work just fine! Just pick up some extra copper compression washers... you gotta replace those things whenever you gotta take the banjo bolt off the caliper anyway.

I'm positive that you will need a new banjo bolt if these are 03-04 Cobra brakes. If you really want to be sure, call up a supplier of these brakes and ask them what all you will need. The stock master cylinder will be fine though.

Ford'supgrade kit included calipers, rotors, pads, new brake lines and crush washers. The 94-95 GT kit included a new master cylinder, 96-04 GTs do not need them. 13" Cobra front brakes require the use of a 17" wheel. I'm running stock 17' wheels and they work just fine and they work well with stock GT rear brakes. If you already have the Cobra front calipers, then you would need to get the rotors, pads, and brake lines at your local parts store.
