should i buy a 95 GTS
There'sa 95 GTS mustang for sale blk/blk the whole motor was gone through with a mild cam,low compression pistions, short throw and has 3:55 gears. Also had the black bullits (18") with chrome lips on it. it also has cobra R front bumber, projecter headlights, saleen wing with a cobra R hood. It also has a king cobra clutch in it. The only thing it needs is the transmision rebuilt (he said it sounds like somthing was rattleing in it and it's kinda hard to pull out. The car was just repainted 2 years ago and all the other parts are about a year old and has a clean title. Is $5,500 a good price for this?

RE: should i buy a 95 GTS
It has 125,000 miles on it but the motor was done a year ago and if i get it the trans will be done. I forgot to add that it has all new performance suspension and lowered. So really the car is all new mechanically and the paint is only 2 years old.

That's alot of $$$ for a GTS. The GTS models were plain jane low economy GT's. I bet there were no fog lights, possibly no cruise. Does it have power windows or crank? Anyways if it was running with a good tranny I would say that $5500 is top dollar, but a rebuilt trans can cost upwards of $2k for replacement. Paint, tires, brakes, belts, fluidsare all maintenance items that you can never get your money back from! Wheels, gears, modded engine are.

On the other hand, I believe my 97 is the 248a package (the GTS name was dropped after 95, past that they are just called 248a). I have a spoiler, but nothing else, so maybe starting in 96 that was standard even on the 248a models. Everything that's missing is basically just nice additions. The only thing I would like to have is cruise, and I like to drive with my windows open, so it would be nice for it to be easier to open the passenger side window without having to lean all the way across. Other than that I'm not really bothered by everything else missing. It would be nice to have nicer seats, but oh well.
You could just put a positive spin on it and call it the "factory weight reduced package".
