which 75mm and plenum to get?

hey i was wondering what combo you guys went with and the results from them americanmuscle.com has the accufab combo, stage3motorsports.com has the C&L plenum with the 75mm bbk throttle body and they also have the dragon combo and does anyone have the trick flow plenum?

i went with the accufab tb/plm from american muscle. tests show it to be the best, but not enough to feel any differance as far as i'm concerned. so i bought it mainly for the looks.

instead of buying that, you could get gears...

I have the Pro Products (same as Trick Flow) plenum and 70 mm TB, very pleased with both--the set provided a good part of my 35+ HP over stock gain. The Accufab setup might get you another 2-3 HP, and is very nice to look at. AccuFab's flow tests (click here, 1/2 way down the page) provide some good number to consider--particularly that 75 mm TB's don't flow any more than 70's (and arguably would therefore reduce charge velocity)--the plenum and intake manifold are the limiting factors. This is misleading too however because an n/a 4.6 L engine can only suck in528 CFM at 6500 rpmat 100% VE, plug in a more realistic VE of 90% and the most it canpump is 475 CFM. That's why aftermarket TBs and plenums for the GT are not the big miracle workers they can be on other cars--the stock setup is not that bad...http://www.paladinmicro.com/images/ProPlenum04-640.jpg

I went with the Professional Products Throttle Body and Plenum as well. I also was able to buy a CAI as well for the same price I would have paid for the Accu-expensive. :)

I dont think I would pay the premium for the accufab stuff. All the t/b and plenum combos are going to dyno about the same...that is hardly any result on a bolton only car.

I went with the BBK 75 mm TB/Plenum kit. It was in preparation for installing a Procharger. I have read independent test results that say it adds 18 whp to a FI motor.

ORIGINAL: Eagle2000GT

I went with the BBK 75 mm TB/Plenum kit. It was in preparation for installing a Procharger. I have read independent test results that say it adds 18 whp to a FI motor.
I got the same kit from Texas Hot Rods for $289.
I liked the Accufab but given the gains I could not justify the price difference so I bought the tb/plenum kit and spent a few more $$ and bought some gears too.
