no one has installed the shaker without the trim pice from cdc. they just buy a mach 1 like us. its a totaly differnt car. i personaly hate the cdc shaker and you would be better off getting a mach1 hood and shaker. just my opp.

people who dont apply the applique, use the cdc shaker system and buy a mach 1 hood. IMO the applique looks like utter crap[:'(]

There is no way of doing it without covering up the hole cut in the hood without the use of the applique short of doing as others here have said and going with the MACH 1 hood.

I'm probably in the minority that actually likes the CDC applique. I think it fits the car and makes it distinguished from the real MACH 1's.

It will look better when painted either body color or black, in my case my hood will get blacked out and it will all blend in nicley.

It took me 9 hrs total over several days and a call to CDC tech help to install this bad boy.

In answer to your question above, yes, the old hood scoop hole as it fully cut out of the car and will be fully covered inside and out once you get the it all back together.
The out side hole is covered by the applique of coarse and the inside is covered with your existing hood insallation and a weather strip help holds it to the appliquie thus fully hiding the hole.
