Pinhole Oil Leak from Oil Cooler Housing

Pinhole oil leak from oil cooler
The leak is the direct result of a worn "O" ring that has hardened and remained flat at the location of that pinhole you see the oil coming from. Remove the oil cooler and separate it. I believe it has 2 "O" rings one in the middle and one where it meets the block....it's been several months since we had one in the shop. I "do" remember that Ford does-not sell the "O rings. I got the "O" rings from the trash truck repair facility next door to my shop, but you should be able to source them from any competent Hydraulic cylinder repair company. Just tightening the center thread bolt that the filter screws onto is at-best a stop-gap measure....do yourself a favor and do-it once and do-it right. You,ll be glad you did. The car we repaired has been working great w/ no leaks ever since we repaired it.
