Default Chirping sound driving me crazy.

Once I get one thing fixed another problem seems to pop up...[:@]

The car is making a chirping sound when moving in a straight line and not when the car is stopped. It goes away around turns and it is not the belt. The car makes the noise regardless of if the clutch is in or out, so I have ruled out any bearing issues and the sound seems to be coming from the center vents.

When the sound first started I popped the hood and saw that my CAI was hanging off (the brackets and screws had become loose[sm=wtf.gif] ), so I tightened it all up again thinking that was the source of my noise. Didn't fix it and I have no idea why it would have loosened up like that. Also I should mention it is not the belt. Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe a loose brake pad on the rear brakes?

I have that stupid chirping sound also. I think its the alternator, I can hear it and its very annoying. Did you rule out the alternator?

Sounds like a brake pad, typical with aftermarket pads

It is coming from the front. So it can't be the rear. I would think it was the alternator, but wouldn't it make the sound if I reved the engine while standing still? I get no sounds when not moving.

Besides the front brake pads I was thinking that maybe it is something related to the steering/suspension? The chirping is pretty high pitched and it sounds like wind noise (almost). I am going to strip down my CAI when I get home and reassemble it to see if that does anything.
