Depends on what you wanna do. I mean... do you want a power adder such as NOS, Supercharger or Turbo, or do you wanna stay NA? The big problem with the 4.6L motors is the rods. They are made out of cracked powered metal and they dont hold up to pressure very well at all. 450 hp is really the farthest you can push them and thats right on the line of "bye bye rods" or "hello low 11's". The other problem, which isnt AS bad is the hypereutectic pistons. Any kind of spark detonation and you can say bye bye to those also but that can be solved with a really good tune.

EDIT: I forgot the tranny. Ive been told on several different accounts that the TR3650 can only hold about 450 hp before you start having problems out of it. Im upgrading muh tranny as soon as I build and charge my engine along with the axles.

cool thanks for the good info JD,
i have ATI s/c @ 8lbs and am pushing 447rwph/420 rwtq. i'm getting a forged short block from FPS built this week and a Mcleod Single Clutch. since i will be in there i am considering the trany as well so LATER i can do the fuel system and a smaller pulley, maybe rear axel and hope to be 600+rwph

any recomended trannys which can handle 6+rw
fuel system is ok for 450-550 (from an earlier post)
axel, not going to be launching much...might see drag strip 2-3 tiems a year

and 98F150/GT
yes silvers arowanas are from SA maybe black arowanas too, not sure, but reds come from Indonesia and Malaysia...but there are aripaima from SA as well which can grow to over 6ft. In captivity they are limited mostly by space but adults can get well over 2ft. right now my aro (6-7 in) is in a 125gal tank by himself.

Sounds like you're gonna have a beast on your hands. I would look into TKO trannys. Im not sure if the T56 Viper would bolt up to a 6 bolt crank or the mods you'd have to do to get the rest to work.

go to www.x2cmotorsports.com they actually take the TKO tranny and make it bullit proof... when you there look at the video section, they have the worlds fastest 5speed... it actually rides a wheely slams down and pops it back up in second and i think 3rd too... awesome videos
