4.10 gears...weak?

4.10 gears...weak?
well i just installed my 4.10's [havent passed thebreak in period]
havent really got on it but they seem pretty week the only difference i felt is 5th gear pull.....what should mph be at 2k in 5th gear

According to this site http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/608.shtml If you used the stock tire/wheel combo 245-45/17 with 4.10 gearsat 2K RPM in5th Gear you should be going approx55MPH.

yeah i dont remember if that was 60mph on the speedo or 80mph but i did do a 5th gear pull from 2k at ???mph to 120mph on the speedo...it felt pretty good...how are all the other gears? and what is the break in period.....this site i used for the install said..."drive it for 10 mins and let cool for 30mins do this 3 time and then let sit overnight".....is this true? or should i wait 500 miles for the break in period.....i get 10 miles to the gallon is why i ask

Yea your basically just supposed to start it up drive it around for a few minutes somewhere in the ballpark of 10 miles. Then let is sit an cool off in between start ups, repeat a few times and you should be good.
So let me get this straight, your saying you dont feel a diff in your launch?????

Wow I'm surprised you're only getting 10 mpg with your 4.10's. I've read of lots of people on here that are getting 20-22 mpg with them. Maybe you have other issues with possibly air intake or fuel delivery? I just got my gears delivered yesterday so I don't know what I'm going to get, obviously,but I hope to god it's better than 10!

the problem is that 1st is short and you need to hit it just right.
BTW everybody is dissapointed witht he 4.10 when they first get them, drive it for a week, then you'll see... and for some giggles drive a stock GT, there is no comparision
