Default steeda clutch adjuster

I just got finished installing it and I never noticed if you could pull up on my clutch pedal without resistance before i installed it because now it will lift up like a half inch and sounds like it will rattle while driving. I took it out for a test and it releases perfect and there is no rattle from this. There is no play in the pedal when pushed in, it is just if you lift it up. Is there something wrong? It doesn't seem like it.

Mine doesnt do that. Maybe there is something going on in your quadrant or pedal assembly? get the adjuster just tight enough so you have about 1/8 inch play between the adjuster and the round part on the cable

Mine does that too and I have the steeda clutch kit as well. It's been so long since I changed it that I cant mentally think of what would cause it at the moment but it's been like that for 3 years. Nothing to worry about.

I just read something and I am wondering how you did this. It said you can ajust pedal hieght by turning the nut at the end of the cable. How I have mine right now is the regular nut is at the end of the threads and the barrell looking nut is tightened up against the clutch fork. How do you have yours Redbullitt? If you know how would Iadjust this nut so the pedal is higher?

Phirantes: if you were to pull your clutch up that 1/2 inch does it sound like the pedal is hitting something metal? That is what my sounds like so I am just wondering if we have the same thing going on.

I somewhat fixed it but you can just barely pull up on the clutch pedal and the metal sounding hit is coming from what seems like the bar that the quadrant slips over and then you put the cotter pin in. It's almost like the hole cut out for the bar is too big. Any help guys?

Okay I have accepted that I will always be able to pull up on the pedal but now it is like less than a 1/8 of an inch and the only way to fix it is to put some type of shim in between where the quadrant slips over the bar since the hole is too big. But now that I have the firewall adjuster adjusted to where I want the clutch to grab butthe cable is too loose which causes the quadrant to be loose so my question is when I adjust the cable at the clutch fork will that screw with where my clutch grabs?
