5.4 / 4.6 3v
Hey guys, the 3650 bolts up to the 3v motors right?
Also I can use my GT computer with a 3v motor correct?
Doesn anybody know of any issues in doing this swap? Im almost willing to look over the fact that they sound like crap for a good cheap swap and alternative to more comlicated and expensive 4v heads (that dont flow as much) (even though the 4v more than enough)...

RE: 5.4 / 4.6 3v
the 3v motor has VVT from what ive been told... looking at the motor specs it says it too... so that means its computer will have different connectors from more pin's and the wiring harness is different.

RE: 5.4 / 4.6 3v
you can use the stock ECU on the 2v 5.4, but not the 3v or 4v for the 3v swap you'll need a new wiring harness and ecu...if i were you and wanted power as well as sound and a motor that takes well to mods go 4v

The transmission will go in. You may have to get a different bell housing.
The computer will not work. The 3V's have fly by wire throttles. Basically a sensor that tells how hard you are pushing the pedal in and then it computes that into the correct throttle body opening. The 2V motors have throttle cables. You push the pedal, it pulls a cable that is connected to the throttle body. Also they have different pins the wiring harness simply wont bolt up.
