Its worth more than 1000. Its a super low milage COMPLETE engine with wiring. Ive seen people ask 1500 for higher milage engines that have seen boost and nitrous.

a 'short block' or just 'heads' is far from a complete engine/long block. 2v long blocks forged are upwards of 6G's, of course a stock complete engine is worth 1000$-1500$ with every single penny in mind when its complete. youd be out of your mind to think otherwise. the dissembled engine parts will always cost less once parted out, ie: heads, cams, intake, shortblock. they dont typically sell for 500$, people cant even do pi-swaps for that cheap, let alone grab an entire pi engine.

ok so it sounds like i could get in between 1000 and 1500 for my engine. Now the new question is buy a cobra engine or buy something else to make 500-600 HP or maybe even keep my engine and make it push that. Lets hear some ideas.

I am trying to figure out how much i might be able to get for my engine out of my saleen s-281 (non supercharged). It would be a complete engine with wiring harness, computer and everything. It only has 17,000 miles on it and is stock other than what saleen has upgraded in the pullys and the computer. I am trying to figure out how much i might be able to get for i because i want to build a motor this winter but i am very tight for money. If you guys might be able to help me with a price that would be great. Thanks

ebay has them going anywhere from 500 bucks for a complete NPI setup to 1500-1700 for a complete PI setup, and a few PI setups going in the 1200 range. Of course, there are a few "brand new crate engines" going for 3K lol.
