How much do you think cant get for my engine?
I am trying to figure out how much i might be able to get for my engine out of my saleen s-281 (non supercharged). It would be a complete engine with wiring harness, computer and everything. It only has 17,000 miles on it and is stock other than what saleen has upgraded in the pullys and the computer. I am trying to figure out how much i might be able to get for i because i want to build a motor this winter but i am very tight for money. If you guys might be able to help me with a price that would be great. Thanks

yeah what are your goals as far as numbers? may be cheaper/easier just to get a blower than to build an engine then do whatever to that if your not wanting insane power.
your motor price is really gonna depend on who you sell it to. as said its more or less just a 2v gt engine and those arent worth much on the resell value, a grand is a good estimate because it is low miles maybe able to get a bit higher. im sure if you put it on ebay though someone who doesnt realize its still just a relitavely stock 2v will pay a little more cuz its 'saleen'.

I would buy it for $1000 as long as its complete intake to oilpan. Then dump $3000 into it and sell it for $6000. 4.6L motors are a dime a dozen. I can get shortblocks for $150 at a junkyard and heads for about $300. Just build what you got and slap on a blower and be done with it.
