RE: help me decide what to do with my car
If you buy a 03-04 cobra motor you are looking at spending $8000 just for the motor and hope you get the wiring harness and computer for it not to mention all the little things you will have to get to make the swap complete. Then buy the aftermarket parts you will need toreach your goal of500-600wrhp for about $2000.You can have a solid shortblock built for $2000 or buy a built one for $3000, get a set of P&P heads and cams for $2000 and buy a supercharger kit for $4000-$5000 and reach your goal of 500-600 rwhp easy.
Cobra motor swap with 500-600wrhp =$10,000
Built 2V motor with 500-600wrhp = $8,000-$9,000
Then don't forget about suspension price to get all that power to the ground.
Why wouldnt a 2002 Saleen be an everyday driver? Its a GT with a body kit, small suspension upgrade, and a CAI.

I dont drive me saleen as a everyday driver because i have another car and also a truck i can drive instead and keep the stang for simply when i wnt to drive it. I have had 4 mustangs now and havent had one that i hve daily drove. Just looking for some opinions to what people would do for 500-600 hp thats it really. Dont need itfor anything else but fun on the street and such.

I woudlnt get a cobra motor becuase by the time you adapt your GT to work with the 4v itll be just as expensive and getting a forged short block and a blower setup. You wont make much more than 500 rwhp on a stock Eaton supercharger anyways. But a built 2v with aftermarket heads, cams, manifold, and blower is able to make 600+ rwhp. . . A 4v can make 600+ rwhp all day long but you'll need to throw a whipple or kenne bell on it to do it effectively. Im sure a 4v with a head/cam job, pulley swap, and full bolt ons could make 600 rwhp but im no expert in 4v's. Idk i say just get a built 2v.. . . and if you're planing on blowing it a 5.0 stroker short block wouldnt be a bad idea, for a few dollars more. . . Check out MMR for shortblocks. They make some good sh*t and are farely affordable.
