Why is my PCV hose collapsed?

Why is my PCV hose collapsed?
When the engine is running my PCV hose is collapsed in between the hose from the pass valve cover that runs to my high flow husky air compressor oil and water seperator and then runs back to my plenum. Why is this so? I mean the filter catches oil but the hose is collapsed.

RE: Why is my PCV hose collapsed?
It must have a higher than normal vacuum, the PCV valve normally has a slight bypass flow at high vacuum (it opens when manifold vacuum falls)--if connected with plain ol' heater hose (or fuel line hose) it would collapse at around 10"-12"Hg at underhood temps--heater hose is designed for low pressure applications, fuel hose for even higher pressure apps, not vacuum. I don't have a clue as to what would be the expected vacuum with your setup, but if normal is sort of high you should get vacuum rated hose.
