Default just bought gears!!

I just purchased a set of gears from a buddy of mine and want to make sure that they are 3.73's. So I know that if I count the teeth on the ring and then on the pinion i can find out what the ratio will be. But the problem that I have I can not remember the formula any help much appreciated. Oh and one more thing what is the average cost of install on these types of jobs?

$70 for an install??? You may wanna make sure they know what they're doing first. I paid $355 for my install.

If I were you, I would sell those 3.73's and pick up some 4.10's. 4.10's are da shizzle!

The number of teeth on the ring gear divided by the number of teeth on the pinion (eg: 41/11 = 3.73) equals the gear ratio.

he is actually a good customer of mine and had them in the garage to put into his saleen. but he ended up selling and sold these to me just want to make sure they are the real deal. Also i got the gears and a delux install kit with speedo tooth all for $80.00. The reason for the 3.73's is it is manual and plan to supercharge and drive daily. thanks for all the help.

just curious, but what brand are ur gears... I was just at a dyno shop that does gears and everything else (its strickly a mustang shop wit 7 sc stangs in it right now... what a beauty) they charge 200 for the gear install, but a lil more for gears that arent FMS. 250 max tho so dont pay 400... EVER
