Friction modifier or not?
Im going to change my tranny fluid this weekend and Ive heard good things about GM sychromesh manual tranny fluid...my question is, do I get type with friction modifier or without?

+1 you do not need (nor is it desirable)friction modifier in the tranny.[/align][/align]It is used (added or in the fluid already) in the traction-lock rear-endto reduce the gear oil's frictional coefficientand keep the t/lok plates from binding. In fact if you use oil without modifier you can add less than the 3+ ounces recommended to make the t/lok lock up tighter...[/align]
