Default oil on spark plug

My stang was sputtering/bogging when i gave it gas so I took the advice most of you said and changed the spark plugs.
I can say it is running better but it still bogs but no where near as bad.
Unfortuanlty on the spark plug closest to the fire wall on the passengers side had oil on it so I think that may have something to do with it [:@].
Anyone want to shoot out ideas of what I need to replace?
thanks all

that is not a good thing. watch and see if it does it again. Do a leakdown test, compression test and see what is going on. Sounds like oil is getting past the rings on that cylinder.

that would account for the bogging

Old Wise Tale that works:crank your car and take a dollar bill and hold over your exhaust pipes. If it's the valves it should suck the dollar bill up into the pipe so DON'T LET GO!

As far as the oil goes, I'm going thru this with my number 3 cyclinder and my piston rings are shot and therefore causing oil soak the number 3 plug. As said before this is not a good thing. My 4v is costing my $3500 to replace the rings, bearings and oil pump and that's only if the pistons themselves don't need replaced, then it would cost more. Dropped mine off at my mechanic's this past Tuesday. Good luck to you as I hope you don't have the same problem. Of course I could've just fixed the one ring but I figured while they're in there might as well ring the wole thing. I only have 62k original miles by the way.

Engine blow by? Have you checked your PCV system at all? Rule out all the potential small things first. Then do a leak down test.

This would cause oil problems on all of the cylinders, not just one!
I would say it's not a valve seal as that much oil woldn't be noriceable on the plug. It's either a badly worn valve guide or ring wear. It's sputtering because that cylinder isn't firing due to oil on the plug.
