is it true i was reading in MMFF that they did a swap to an aluminum intake, and that they said on the dyno test runs, that the Aluminum and the Polished intakes run hotter than the plastic stock ones! I want a typhoon intake but that article has scared of me has anyone heard anything else about aftermarket manifolds?

Look on K&N's website for the power gains on the TYPHOON intake/filter assembly.. It gets 1/2 the hP gains of the plastic Intake..... 10hp on the K&N I have...

The stock intake manifold is a pretty good unit as far as i am concerned..

if your not doing any racing, just get the 01-04 upgraded PI manifold, all you really need is the aluminum crossover. The plastic intake is fine. If you ever plan to boost or juice, get some kind of metal manifold.
