Same brakes.....

There's also a sense of pride and substance that comes with the Cobra. I love Mach 1s. I'd love to have a Torch Red with black Saleens or FR500s. But the Mach would be the DD and the Cobra would get parked....

There's just something about a Cobra....

here is the pro's i see
both forged cranks
both respond very well to mods
both look good

heres the cons
cobra has wheel hop
mach costs more for the same thing
mach is more on my insurance
COPS HATE ME! tickets galore either way.

at my price range 12-14k they will both be up in the miles or close to the same.
This car will be stock for quite some time due to me moving again. so upgrades are a nice thought, but not feasible right now.

not that its a bad thing but i have read the mach classifys under the gt insurance wise while the cobra is in a whole other league[:@]
It doesn't classify under the same as a GT. I have had both cars and the Mach was about $350 more a year.

The 01 Cobra's don't look like V6's. It is more of the 99's without the rear bumper switched over to the COBRA bumper. Don't get my wrong, Cobra's are sick cars (I just hate the owners that thing that they own the god of all cars because it says Cobra, which isn't that many owners. I would personally just take the newer lower mileage 4v if I could afford it. Which would usually be a Mach I guarantee that you will be happy with either one. They are very similiar cars except for IRS and appearance. If you can afford the Mach and like the styling, buy that. If you can afford the Cobra and like that styling then buy that.

They are going to perform similiar. The Mach's are said to be slightly underrated. Some dyno in the 280's stock. Put a 99/01 Cobra and a Mach next to eachother and it will basically be a drivers race.

But it doesn't matter, As long as you get a Stang...

+1 either way i am coming out on top.
Looks like i cant go wrong either way, so if i can find a mach1 in my price range then ill get that, but that's gonna be a task. and if i find a cobra thats in it it'll have to be that. looks like price will win out and ill still have performance. thanks a lot guys. ill be popping i and out of the svt and mach sections asking stupid questions about their tech b/c i only know old school.
