Default Fuel Injector Upgrade

Thinking of upgrading from my 19lb stock FI to the 30 lb, will my 4.6 hanle it? I have the K&N FIPK but do I have to go with an upgraded Mass AIR SYSTEM with the FI upgrade install? TC

You are gonna just flood the engine. You dont need to upgrade injectors till you add a power adder. Your 19's are plenty for any NA application.

Power adders are objects such as a supercharger, turbo, or NOS. When you run these "power adders" then you are pushing a lot more air into each combustion chamber, thus requiring more fuel. If you put a power adder on your car and dont upgrade the injectors then you run the chance of running extremely lean and blowing the engine or not getting the best performance out of the power adder itself.

With your mods, 19lb injectors are more than enough. I would wait till I did a power adder of such before upgrading any of the fuel system.

I had been told the 24 or 30 lb kit would be fine for what I have, that the 42lb would be required for superchargers and the like..am I being misled?...TC

But for what? I mean.. you have nothing that requires upgraded injectors. Its pratically a waste of money. I guess if you really wanna do it then you can but get a good tune because they are gonna hurt you more than anything.

as JD said with a power adder, yes. but for an NA setup you're not pushing that much more air into your cylinders, all you'll end up doing is flooding your cylinders until the ECU readjusts.

Injectors by themselves will not net you any gains whatsoever.

So a mass air mod won't matter, going back to original question...TC
