ok i dot know how to explain it well but I changed my shocks allready but when I was changing them I noticed another shock lookin thing connecting to the axle? I tryed to look it up and came up with that its a shock absorber but some companies call their shocks that to. what is this? It looks old and beat up so I want to get a new one. looks like a shock but doesnt go up to the trunk....???

get lower control arms, you wont need them anymore

you can buy them at any auto parts store. I've also heard them called axle dampers.

so you guys take quad shock off when you put lower control arms on and leave them off>?

If it makes you feel any better, I have no friggen idea what a quadshock is either! This is the first I've heard of one

its right next to the shock and rear spring....... here it is called an axle damper..
