Need help plz
Finished installing the new manifold today , fired it up the first time and the o-rings for the fuel injectors were leaking. Went and got new o-rings , installed them put everything back together. Fired it up a second time , everything seemed pretty good, idled nice , good throttle response and everything seemed good to go. Went around the block , heading down the road everything seemed good and then all a sudden it started running rough so I hurried up and brought it home, popped the hood and I see steam like something was getting burned off the motor, yep , coolant laying on the block under the manifold !!!!!! I torqued the manifold bolts to 18 lbs like the instructions said and not sure where it's coming from. Needless to say i'm not too happy and I couldn't get any physical help from anyone unless I paid them an arm and a leg !

RE: Need help plz
i hopw that torque wrench was calibrated right because even if you over torqued them you could have cracked the manifild....r u sure those little intake manifold bolts were 18ft pounts....maybe thermostat bolts but others should be like some odd inch pounds bc its a plastic manifold and doesnt need much to seat down
dis reguard....didnt realize you had a 96 til i posted

did you torque them down in the right sequence? wouldnt hurt to go over and do it again.
