i think the mach 1s are different. there spacer provides more distance between the upper plenum and lower, alot different design. its kinda like the 350z concept, they make a spacer for those plenums that provides a solid 10-15 dyno provenhorsepower.
mach1 is also a 4v engine. they will respond differently.

I don't think it matters how many valves you have.

Heres a website with some dyno #'s. Not mustang numbers but they do show improvments..
From airraid an alright company. I dunno if this is the proof you were looking for but heres some proof..

http://www.airaid.com/home.asp

I also found this info from american muscle. It does say dyno proven. Dunno if AM is just saying this or have dynoed.

From AM
"

I did the same, Afgan 6 mo, 3 Iraqs 3.5 years total, so 3.5 years in the box was enough for this E-6. It's funny too, the whole time I was e-1 through e-4 all I wanted was to do some hardcore ****. Promoted to sgt and I got my wish, and then some... I was done, I was on the E-7 list but decided I already gave up too much for the military. Now I'm in college...

...And couldn't be happier!

yes, Spacers do help, alittle. You'll probably not feel it. It's true, it does lower the air that is being intaked a few degrees. Thats all it really helps. Like being said, every ounce of power counts.
