Supercharger
I am considering adding a supercharger to my '04 GT. Will any internal modifications [pistons, crank, valves, etc] be required to maintain reliability....and longevity? Is intercooling a must? Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best product, and the best local installer? How much additional horsepower might I expect without stressing the engine with too much boost?
Thanks for any help and suggestions you can offer.

RE: Supercharger
intercooling helps tremendously.
If you want it to take the power more easily, then you will want to replace the internals with forged rods and pistons. Lowering the CR (compression ratio) will help with longetivity also, but will provide less power on the same boost pressure.
Any extra hp will stress the engine more. There's just no way around that.
oh, and wrong forum.
