How much time do I have left?
Well, second and third gear synchros are on the way out I think. Second has been rather touchy lately and has just started popping out of gear now and again. How long do I have before 2nd takes a total dump on me? How much will a typical rebuild cost?

You have however long it's going to last. It could break the next time you try to drive the car.
The rebuild costs is really determined by labor. The rebuild kits are fairly priced, however it's a labor intensive job. You will need to find a qualified transmission shop you can trust. You will likely be around 2k when everything is done.
