Default Kenne Bell 2.1L

I was looking at this Kenne Bell 2.1L Big Bore 6-14 PSI

now this kit intercooled runs about 5 grand. now how much will it cost to get this installed? theres no way i can do it myself i definatly need to get it installed. is there anything else i need to buy along with this? my car is stock right now, i was planning on getting a bigger TB and plenum. im still debating on if i want to go with this, i know in the summer i want toget gears, i was going to go with 4.10's (im automatic) but now that i am thinking about going KB do i need to go 3.73's?

if you run the kb at less than 9 psi's and not push it too hard (i.e. don't launch too hard) you'll be fine. If your planning on 4.1's with a 2.1l kb you better get some 335+ tires. 3.73's are good for your ap.

you might want to try 3.55'sor keep the stock ratiofor awhile, a friend of mine still has the 1.7 KB with 3.73's and just spins on BFG's.... a throttle body will give u a few horse, but you cant use aplenum with the KB.... as far as the install, every shop is different, my local shop quoted me $1000 for install and dyno tune (they have a package deal, you drop off your car, and for 6k its done for you start to finish)

If you were quoted $5k for this kit. You're paying way too much for it.
I called K.B. a week or so ago,and was quoted $4200.00 for the intercooled
kit for my 04' GT. I'm running a Saleen Supercharger now with 3:73's and
it works great togeather.I(personally) wouldn't go any lower than that for a rear end gear.
I also heard that the K.B. install is fairly easy.

where ever you get the install done at make sure its done well with a Dyno tune. Ive also heard 5Grand for the Big Bore kit too. I think prices have gone up since the 1.7L kit!

they give you a standard tune, it may or may not match up to your car completely as there are always differences between stangs.
