Ive had both. Id go with the x over the h for loud. My car idles a little rough and when another mustang revs at me it usually ends with my rev back.

X-pipe
With sportline springs you might be scraping a little with the longtubes.
Dont get the shortys though. Waste of money.

Go longtubes if you don't have to worry about emissions (sounds like you don't if you're going with a o/r midpipe). It'll be loud with no cats. H pipe will give you more of the classic sound. Check out the clips - it's the best way.

i dont mean like a ricer in general i was just trying to use it as an example of a higher pitched. i know they are no way near that high pitched. i like the deep sound more but its all personal preference

I have an x pipe and it's pretty deep sounding. I had and h pipe on my 95 and the x is alot louder. I like the x. Sounds meaner.

You gotta get a short x/h pipe that is made for long tube headers.

alot of people are gonna tell you to go with Long Tubes but in reality depending on your mods the difference between long tubs and mid length and shorties is that if you just have Bolt on's go with mid length or shorties you wont gain but 1-2 HP with the Long tubes with just bolt on's now if you have a forced induction, it is probably gonna be better to go with a long tube header. They have done numerous reviews on the headers and dyno test! So long story short!

Basic Bolt on's = Shorties

Supercharger, Turbo, = Long Tubes.

Search Long Tubes Vs. Shorties on Google mybe that review might come up and help you understand better!
