Easiest way is to get them at a Ford dealer. They're around 60-70 a piece. Not cheap.

Just found a set of Jacobs coils at Summit Racing for $190. They also had the Accel brand for $224.

Default RE: Engine Missing out

Damn, after all of this I STILL have the engine miss. I’ve replaced the fuel filter and all ignition coils. Checked all 8 plugs (everything normal there), ran 2 bottles of water remover and 1 can of BG 44k through the fuel system, had Auto Zone check for trouble codes (even though Check Engine light never came on), had an auto mechanic check for vacuum leaks and other possible issues until he finally returned the vehicle with no clue either (after 4 hours of troubleshooting). The only other thing I can think of is that I might have a partially clogged or bad fuel injector, even though I would think that that would produce more consistent misses. I’m at a loss.

One other thing: I noticed that the hose connected to the PCV valve was nearly collapsed at idle so I replaced with a new hose. Now, the new hose partially collapses but holds together better than the old one. I’m picking up a new PCV valve tomorrow but not overly confident that this will fix the issue (wouldn’t a bad one trip the check engine light?). The only other thing left to do is take it to the stealership before my road trip Wednesday evening. Any other suggestions?
