Default What to get...

I know there are a ridiculous amount of posts asking what to get with a certain amount of money and those are gettin a little overwhelming to me as well. I am goin to spend about another $1000 on my car in mods and call it quits, I will be keeping the car for a long time but just have other interests right which aren't cheap. My question is what would you guys do in my situation... I currently own a 98 gt with magnaflows dumped, short shifter, and new wheels. I am lookin to get a couple more things that need to last a little bit, not hurt my gas too much, and just improve my driving experience. An o/r h is pretty number 1 on the list... but if I could get some suggestions that would be great. Sorry to add to the endless list of "what to get" posts.

gears and tuner will give you a pretty good bang for buck. If not do a pi swap. Good luck with whatever it is your doing, and hope you get back to modding soon =P

I would love to do a pi swap but after everything... a little over what I am willing to pay. I am leaning towards your (aereon) opinion. Forgot about the cai... see, what would I do without you guys. haha. Thanks for the opinons though.

You can get PI stuff really cheap and if you can put it on yourself you should be around 1000.

Gears ($400) and tuner ($400), and the the OR H and your budget is dead. Itll sound sweet and give ya a kick in da pants.

I have a SCT X3 for sale. It's the new tuner from SCT. It replaces the XCal2. I paid $380 for it. How does $300 sound? You can get a set of PI cams for $100, a PI intake manifold for $100, gaskets for $50, mid pipe $150, and a dyno tune for about $150. That'll still leave you with $150 towards a throttle body/plenum or gears. You could find a throttle body/plenum for $150 or save for gears (usually $400 installed).
