Default Supercharger and Stock Rear End

Will the stock 8.8" rear-end hold up without breaking, if pushing 500+RWHP on drag radials (245/45/17 Nittos)? I was planing to get a new 9" rear in a year or two. The car has 27,000mi. and never had anything stickier than 245 Nittos.

Should be okay, the 8.8's can take a serious assault.

Edit - actually it should be fine. MD basically does wheelies on his 8.8 rear, he has beefed up axels and such though.

the rear will take some abuse, but will eventuall go if you don't upgrade the axles.

it will work for the short term, BUT definately not for the long run. Especially if you plan on continuely upping the horse power.
