tranny leak

Default tranny leak

i have a 04 gt 5 speed and the output seal on the tranny leaks so i replaced the seal ,it still leaks .any ideas????????

That seal seals on the yoke. Pull the drive shaft back out and check for a groove in the yoke where the seal rides on it. I've seen several times where the seal can literally cut a groove in the yoke making it impossible for any seal to completely seal. Just something to check. If the yoke is ok then your drive shaft might be out of balance causing a slight vibration to wear the seal out.

i sanded the yoke and didnt see a grove.but i also suspected the drivshaft was out of balance because shakes on the highway and i just had the wheels balanced.
