Default What kind of tools do I need?

Hey guys.......I've got an 02 GT and I need to change the front brake pads. I changed the pads on my Nissan truck but never on my Mustang. What tools do I need to take the caliper off? I mean, it's pretty simple right? Just remove the wheel, loosen the bolts on the caliper, slide caliper off, c-clamp the piston in the caliper, remove old pads, insert new pads, slide caliper on, remove c-clamp, tighten caliper bolts and put the wheel on. Is that pretty much it? Is it a bolt that holds the caliper on or does it require an allen wrench? Sorry, guys......I'm kinda new at this......Anything else I need to know?

yes it's really straight forward, hardest part is bleeding the system if your doing it by yourself. I just used a basic socket set.

On my 98 the top pin is anchored to the bracket body, and the bottom bolt is a T35 or T40 Torx I wanna say. It just pivots up and out.

why would you bleed the system? He's not removing the caliper.

they do, but he is only changing the fronts, be happy, those rear calipers are a PITA without special tools

I think my brakes are beginning to freeze up from lack of use on the sliders, should I put some anti seeze grease on them so they move freely?

Do I need to have the rotors turned? How do I know if they need to be turned? If so, how hard is it to get the rotors off?
