98 GT giving me suspension problems
For the most part I try to keep the vehicle completely stock other than the air intake as I hate any type of third party addons. The vehicle has a very noticable popping sound when taking off from a stop position, its very annoying as it happens every single time reguardless of how fast I take off (it doesnt happen if I go from 0-60 in like 2 minutes mind you). Well I took it to the shop to get it worked on (usual oil, transmission, brakes) and mentioned it to the guy working on it and he said the vehicle had been lowered by the previous owner some. What could that popping be? To me it sounds like the frame or undercarrage is popping, it comes from the rear of the vehicle.
The vehicle info:
1998 FORD MUSTANG GT
COUPE
4.6L V8 FI SOHC 16V / REAR WHEEL DRIVE
AUTOMATIC (yea yea I know [:@])
Also did every GT have the GT emblem on the vehicle and Bumper? Mine has the tricolor horse emblem and a normal Mustang bumber (says MUSTANG, rather than MUSTANG GT), Carfax's vehicle history didnt show any history other than ownerships, and renewed registrations.
Thanks for any input guys

RE: 98 GT giving me suspension problems
So why would my GT have the different emblems and bumper? It seems odd that both would be generic, unless the previous owner simply hated the look of the GT emblem and switched them, along with the bumper but that sounds dumb. Even if it was wrecked from behind what would be the point of switching the emblems, I could understand the bumper... bah too annoying.
Not to my knowledge, like I said it was lifted off the ground and while working on brakes, etc we did not notice anything out of the ordinary as far as possible body damage or corrosion.
