Default help with intake issue please..

i swapped my intake to the one with aluminum crossovers...now my car is missing really bad at idle and at low rpm...if i drive above 2500 rpm the car runs perfectly...anyone have any advice?

only thing i can think of is i lost one of the little red pieces that sits inside one of my fuel injectors....could that be the problem? what do those things do...

from where? everything is hooked up....i checked it all out so did my dad and the kid at advanced auto checked it all out too...is there a place that could leak and be sort of hidden?

Get a propane torch and use it unlit around the intake. When the idle jumps up you found the leak.

Is your MAF plugged in?

yea the MAF is plugged in, and it smells like it is running a little bit rich... all of my hoses and stuff are plugged in as well...

if you dont have a propane torch spray someFI or carbuerator cleaneraround every gasket, vacuum hose, seal that you could have possibly touched when replacing the manifold. if you hear the idle change youve found your leak.

I just read your other post about your little coolant problem. Now it sounds like you have a plug that is not firing which would explain the rough idle and rich smell. Pull the COP and let it dry and pull the plug and clean it up.

i dont have a torque wrench so im hesitant on pulling the plug since they are so touchy... would i be ok just tightening the plug until its snug?
